The Program

OVERVIEW
Obesity is rapidly becoming the leading cause of preventable death in the United States.  Serious conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, elevated blood lipids and cholesterol, and even increased risk of certain types of cancer are all associated with obesity.  If you have already experienced these symptoms, chances are that your doctor has told you to lose weight to improve your health. If only it were that easy!  Unfortunately there are no shortcuts. Losing weight takes specific tools and approaches that require some education and practice. That is where HNT’s Health and Weight Management Program comes in.

Our Program will give you tools to manage your weight and health in a realistic, long term way.  The strength of our Program is both in the counseling content you will receive and in the dedication and skills of our counseling staff.  Details of the program are explained below.  Our philosophy is that weight management is a lifelong process.

BE PREPARED TO BE CHALLENGED!
We will ask a lot from you.  This will be done in a caring manner by a staff that fully understands and appreciates what you are undertaking.  You will be guided, step by step, to a much healthier life.  Over the years, thousands of our patients have attained this and you can too!



FOUNDATION

  • 20 weeks
  • Medically supervised treatment
  • Structured meal plan
  • Patient accountability is a key component
  • Classes focus on learning new lifestyle patterns
  • Mandatory attendance for the 90 minute classes each week

ON-GOING PRACTICE

  • Weekly 1 hour sessions for as long as patients choose to attend
  • Classes build upon the skills and strategies learned in Foundation
  • Focus on making Permanent Changes
