STEPHEN R. SCHULTZ PH D. MPH
Founder

Dr. Schultz is the founder of HNT. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Human Physiology. He also earned an MPH in Nutrition from University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Schultz worked as Research Fellow at UC Berkeley and UCSF Medical Center with emphasis on human nutrition. With over 25 years of experience in the field of weight loss and nutrition, Dr. Schultz has extensive knowledge about weight loss, and a large network of contacts with leading researchers and physicians around the country. His expertise is in product design and development as well as program design and protocols.


HANNAH SCHULTZ
CEO

Hannah came to HNT in 2003 with an extensive background in leadership training and group management. Hannah’s primary role at HNT has been to streamline and modernize all company business functions.  She has also been instrumental in developing the HNT program training and oversight.  She assumed the role of CEO in October of 2007. Hannah earned a B.A. from Smith College in 2001.  She also studied at The London School of Economics.  Prior to coming to HNT, she worked as the Program Director of Kennolyn Camps.  

DOUGLAS M. CARNEY, MD
Medical Director

A well-known and respected physician, Dr. Carney practiced Internal Medicine for 26 years at the Salem Clinic, Salem OR. He is a diabetologist and served as the President and Board Chairman of the Oregon Diabetes Association from 1986-1989. Because of his special interest in obesity treatment, Dr. Carney founded the Weight Management Program of Salem in 1991 and has supervised it since its inception.


SHEILA HENSON, RD
Program Director , Indianapolis

Sheila is a Registered Dietitian and is certified by the American Dietetic Association in Adult Weight Management. She received her undergraduate degree from Goshen College (Goshen, Indiana) and participated in the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences/ Veterans Administration Dietetic Internship (Little Rock, AR). Before coming to HNT , Sheila helped to establish the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Weight Control Program. Prior to this, she and her husband owned and operated a fitness center. Sheila plays an integral role at HNT . She developed many of the HNT program materials and is currently responsible for our successful Indianapolis operation.   She is a very dedicated and busy woman!
